Probably Meknes, Morocco. Early 20th century

Provenance: Sir Richard Ashton Beaumont (1912-2009) Knight, Diplomat and Arabist; by descent.

Dimensions: 46cm wide x 46cm high x 25cm deep

Each is decorated with a vibrant design of floral arabesques called 'Tawrīq' using natural pigments. The brackets are of the same basic architectural design with pierced repeated galleries over a concave panel. Decoration all original.
